To understand absolute reality, first it’s important to have an idea of relative, conventional reality. Perceptions, sensations, discriminations and external objects, hence the reality that surrounds us, exists in an interdependent way: this is the aspect of relative truth. The understanding of absolute truth, which is expressed with the term "emptiness" (Sanskrit: shunyata) needs a deeper reflection.
