Description: According to Buddhist schools view, conventional truth refers to phenomena as “deceptive” and ultimate truth refers to emptiness. Deceptive or conventional truths are so defined because they are truths ascertained by valid minds, with dualistic appearances, which do not learn the real meaning, and absolute truths are so named because they are truths realized by the supreme wisdom of a noble being or arya whose mind has no dualistic appearance. Absolute truths are not perceived by the conventional mind, which prevents their perception. Through an analysis of the two truths it will be possible to become familiar with the fundamental concepts of Buddhist philosophy.
