Description: | This meditation goes by the name of "calm abiding", shiné in Tibetan and shamatha in Sanskrit. It is explained by te Buddhist canon as one of the means to obtain buddhahood, even so it can simply be used as a tool to improve intelligence and pacify the mind. In this condition of ordinary beings it is difficult to keep our minds focused on our own and others wellbeing, but by practicing shiné we learn to keep our mind in the positive direction that we place it and eliminate the harmful states that hinder our spiritual evolution. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/20.500.11996/635 | Other Identifiers: | aau-uxrjcsblb | Content restrictions: | LIBERO | Access Mode: | LIBERO |
