dc.description.enBased on the sublime words of Buddha Shakyamuni, Arya Nagarjuna's “Letter to a Friend” is an opportunity to indicate the stages of the Mahayana path especially to lay people, but also to the monks. The contents of this short composition can be summarized in three topics: 1. Interpersonal behaviors at the basis of a peaceful relationship with oneself and with others. 2. Development of abandonment of the states of conditioned existence. 3. How to continue on the spiritual path after contemplating the qualities of the state of liberation from all mental afflictions.
