Abstract: This teaching is based on the eight-verse prayer (“Eight Verses of Thought Transformation") that contains the essence of mental transformation, written in the 11th century by meditation master Geshe Langri Thanpa (his real name was Dorje Senge).
Description: The Tibetan Buddhist tradition contains many practices to improve our attitude towards others. This mind training belongs to a group of teachings and practices, known as "thought transformation" (Tibetan: Lojong) about the transformation of self-centered thinking into an attitude that cares for others, with the ultimate goal of developing bodhicitta: the mind that aspires to attain enlightenment for the benefit of all beings.
