Description: The great Buddhist yogis of India who achieved ultimate enlightenment in one lifetime were called Mahasiddhas, i.e., one who has attained the maha (supreme, uncommon) siddhi of Mahamudra (Great Seal). In particular, the 84 Mahasiddhas constitute the direct link between Indian and Tibetan Buddhism, as they are the origin of the numerous lineages of Tantra of Tibetan Buddhism, which have been preserved until today by great lamas of Tibet. More than just biographies, their lives are a profound teaching, because they show us that in any life situation we can transform every act in the path to complete liberation.
