Description: The original title of this text is: “Song of the Four Mindfulnesses. Instructions for Meditation on the View of Emptiness, Causing a Rain of Siddhis to Fall”. The 7th Dalai Lama, Losang Kelsang Gyatso (1708-1757), put these teachings given by Manjushri to Lama Tzongkhapa into concise verse, to facilitate their memorization and subsequent application in meditation. They concern: 1. Awareness of the spiritual guide; 2. Awareness of compassion; 3. Awareness of oneself in the aspect of divinity; 4. The awareness of sunyata (emptiness).
