Description: | This course was given by Geshe Jampa Gyatso as an introduction to Kalachakra Tantra, in anticipation of the important Kalachakra initiation to be given by HH Dalai Lama in Europe (July 1985, Rikon, Switzerland). Shambala is a region located in the North and to access is possible only after having extensively dealt and cleaned one's proper mental defilements. Kalapa is the capital of the kingdom of Shambala where Aniruddha (Tib. Magakpa), the 21st King of an unbroken lineage of Kalachakra practitioners, resides. The majority of the inhabitants are of Buddhist faith and coexist harmoniously with the Hindu minority, all experiencing the bliss of a wonderful and free from afflictions place.
